Currently Hiring: Kennel Tech / Full or Part Time| Starting $15-16 / hour

Kennel Tech: Full or Part time

We are seeking a kennel technician to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the dogs at our facility. For kennel techs, our shifts are either 7:00 am to 12:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We operate seven days per week. We prefer to hire a full time person, though for the right candidate we will consider a part time position.

Kennel Tech Responsibilities:

  • Handle general care tasks such as feeding and exercising of the dogs.
  • Keep records of dog feedings, progress, and other updates.
  • Engage in play activities and exercise with the dogs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment.

Kennel Tech Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in animal care or other related fields helpful.
  • Passion to help dogs and their people.
  • Ability to interact with dogs in a calm, non-threatening manner.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Career Trajectory:

  • Several of our kennel techs are people who appreciate a flexible, well paid position and the opportunity to build hands-on experience with dogs and do not desire to move into a training role.
  • Or, start as a kennel technician, show us your initiative, and move up into a training position.

  • Full time availability for a training role – becoming a trainer is a months’ long process, so part time availability just won’t work.
  • Available to work weekends and some holidays – we have dogs in our care nearly every day of the year, so our trainers may get to work as early as 7:00 am or stay as late as 9:00 pm.
