Sit Means Sit Detroit hosts Go Team therapy training once per year. This program is more intensive than your typical therapy dog training, and it certifies crisis response dogs. 

In order to become certified, your dog will train at local fire departments, libraries, and other public places where a crisis response dog may be needed. 

Our team actively engages in a variety of activities, reaching diverse groups of individuals. Children, seniors, college students, and numerous other at-risk and in-need groups have all experienced the positive impact of our dogs’ gentle and joyful presence.

Being included in this exceptional group of dog and handler teams is a special gift, not only to our communities but to the team members as well.
